Manjeshwara : A complaint has been filed with the Manjeshwar police station alleging that two miscreants, who arrived in a car, intercepted an Omni van and snatched a three-sovereign gold chain from the neck of a businessman.
The victim has been identified as Seetharama Shetty (33), a resident of Varkady Aribailu. Mr. Shetty, who owns a chicken centre in Morathane, was returning home in his van from the shop in the afternoon when two people in a car intercepted his vehicle and committed the crime, according to the complaint.
The complaint further states that the occupants of the car fled the scene after the act. Manjeshwar police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
