Mangaluru : The third day of the ‘Mega Bible Convention 2026’ was held at the Holy Cross Church grounds, Cordel, Kulshekar, on February 28, 2026, centering on the theme of divine wisdom and reception. Organized by the Mangalore Diocesan Charismatic Service Communion and the Diocesan Biblical Commission, the event drew a large gathering of the faithful to pray specifically for the pastoral ministries of priests and religious leaders. The evening’s spiritual activities included a solemn Holy Eucharistic celebration presided over by Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, who delivered a homily encouraging the congregation to be transformed by the Word of God in preparation for Transfiguration Sunday.
A significant portion of the convention was dedicated to intercessory prayers for global harmony, with a particular focus on seeking an end to violence and the restoration of peace in the war-troubled Gulf countries. The liturgical atmosphere was enhanced by the Angelore Church Choir, led by Mr. Melwyn Peris, and attended by numerous prominent clergy members from across the Diocese of Mangalore. Following the Mass, the congregation participated in enlightening biblical sessions led by Rev. Dr Leo Lasrado and Rev. Dr Jencil Alva, who discussed the role of conscience as a divine guide and the Blessed Virgin Mary as a model of faithful obedience.
The day concluded with a moving Eucharistic Adoration led by Rev. Fr Harry D’Souza, emphasizing the theme of surrendering to the divine will. Throughout the sessions, Br Rony D’Souza and his team led the assembly in spirited praise and worship, maintaining a high level of spiritual fervor among the attendees. This four-day spiritual event, which has brought together thousands of believers, is set to reach its grand finale on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
