Belthangady: A letter has gone viral on social media, stating that a person who knows about the crimes committed in Dharmasthala village in Dakshina Kannada district has come to Dharmasthala police station and informed them.
In the letter, a person who buried dead bodies in order to cover up the numerous murders and rapes and murders of girls in Dharmasthala village has decided to immediately present himself at the Dharmasthala police station and surrender to satisfy his guilt. He has also decided to exhume the bodies he has buried in the presence of the police; he has said that he will hand over one of the recently exhumed bodies to the police.
After this letter went viral, the police department issued a statement saying that a letter has been circulated on social media, stating that a person has come to Dharmasthala police station and informed them about the crimes committed in Dharmasthala village. In order to verify the authenticity of this letter, when the lawyer in Bangalore mentioned in the letter was contacted by the Dharmasthala police station, the lawyer said that a person came to him and told him that he had information about the criminal acts committed in Dharmasthala village and that he was ready to surrender to the police station and provide information. The lawyer said that the necessary legal security would be provided to the person and then he would be produced.
Accordingly, it was stated that if the person appeared and provided information, further legal action would be taken. This development has created anxiety in the Dakshina Kannada district.
