Mangaluru : His Holiness Shri Shri Sachidananda Jnaneshwara Bharati Maha Swamiji, the pontiff of the Shri Shankaracharya Sansthanam Daivajnya Brahmin Mutt, emphasized the need for the community to reconnect with its historical roots. Speaking at the “Daivajnya Darshana” program held at the Daivajnya Kalyan Mantap in Mangaluru, the Seer noted that the Daivajnya Brahmin community, which follows the Advaita tradition of the Vedic period, must show greater dedication to its rituals and customs. He highlighted that the community has witnessed all-round development since the establishment of its own Kulaguru and Shri Mutt four decades ago.
During his discourse to the devotees, the senior Swamiji urged parents to not only provide modern education to their children but also to instill traditional values and encourage them to engage in social service. He expressed concern over the declining trend of inspiring children toward family responsibilities, community-oriented thinking, and value-based living. Following him, the junior seer, Shri Sujnaneshwara Bharati Swamiji, elaborated on the significance of religious and moral values. He called upon the youth to strengthen the tradition of respecting parents and to work towards the self-reliance of the underprivileged sections of society.
The arrival of the seers was marked by a grand procession from Mannagudda to Ashoknagar. They were welcomed with ‘Purna Kumbha’ honors amidst the sounds of traditional instruments, devotional dance performances, and vibrant tableaux. The event featured the presence of several prominent community leaders, including trustees of the Shri Mutt and presidents of various Daivajnya Brahmin associations from across Karnataka.
A significant part of the ceremony involved the “Guru Vandana” and ‘Paada Pooja,’ where office bearers from various community organizations offered their respects to the Kulagurus. Dignitaries such as K. Sudhakar Shet, Ravi Gaonkar, and Suresh Shet were among the many guests on the stage representing the social, educational, and commercial wings of the community. The program was coordinated and concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri S. Rajendrakanth Shet.
