Mangaluru: A torchlight procession was held on Monday evening under the leadership of the Dakshina Kannada District Youth Congress Committee in support of Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, who is creating awareness against vote rigging in the country.
The torchlight procession was held from near Nava Bharat Circle in Mangaluru to in front of the Mangaluru City Corporation.
The procession included Legislative Council member Ivan D’Souza, former minister B. Ramanath Rai, former MLA J.R. Lobo, former Mayor Shashidhar Hegde, Congress leaders Padmaraj R. Poojary, Ramesh Shetty Boliar, R.K. Prithviraj, Ashok Kumar D.K, T.K. Sudhir, K.K. Shahul Hamid, S. Appy, Naveen D’Souza, Subhodaya Alva, Abbas Ali, Joachim D’Souza, D.K. Youth Congress President Ibrahim Nawaz, Youth Congress leaders Asif Bajal, Melwin Jaisan and others participated.
