Putturu : The State-Level Weightlifting Competition, organized by the Karnataka State Weightlifters Association, Bengaluru, and the Arts & Sports Club, Sullia, concluded recently. The event took place at the Sullia Junior College grounds, showcasing impressive talent from across the state.
A significant achievement was recorded by Milan, a student from the Second Year Science stream at Vivekananda Pre-University College, Puttur. Milan competed in the 79 kg category and demonstrated exceptional strength and skill, ultimately clinching the prestigious Gold Medal in the state-level contest.
Milan received dedicated training and guidance from the college’s team of physical education directors: Dr. Jyothi, Ravishankar, and Yatish Kumar. Their expert tutelage was instrumental in preparing him for the rigorous state-level competition.
The college management committee, Principal, faculty members, and non-teaching staff have all extended their hearty congratulations to Milan for his outstanding success. His Gold Medal win is a source of great pride for Vivekananda PU College and highlights the institution’s commitment to excellence in sports.
