Udupi : In a frightening incident on National Highway 66, a goods tempo lost control and crashed into a residence at Hejamadi Kannangar Garodi near Udupi. The vehicle was traveling from Padubidri towards Mangaluru when the driver lost command of the vehicle, reportedly due to a technical snag. The tempo veered off the road and plowed into a house belonging to Mr. Manjatota Ismail.
Miraculous Escape: A major tragedy was averted as the residents of the house were seated in a different corner of the building at the exact moment of the impact. Although the residents remained unharmed and safe, a significant portion of the house was partially damaged due to the high intensity of the collision.
