Mangaluru: In the wake of heavy rains and as a precautionary measure, the Mangaluru Tahsildar has declared a holiday on July 24 for Anganwadi, primary and high school, and pre-university college students in Mangaluru taluk.
Tourists and the public have been warned not to go to low-lying areas, lakes, rivers, and seashores where there is water during this time.
