Speaking to the media in Haveri, he said that if the state government submits a proposal for additional fertilizers, the central government will supply them. However, it is the responsibility of the Agriculture Department to handle this task.
Responding to a question regarding the installation of smart meters in households, he said the issue of smart meters is currently in court, and a stay order has been issued. A complaint has also been filed with the Lokayukta. In some other states, smart meters have been installed at a lower cost, and in some places, they have been provided on lease. There is a suspicion among the public that the state government is charging consumers a higher price and even taking commissions from that. This issue must be investigated. The matter is in court.
In response to a question about the inauguration of the Haveri Medical College, he said that he has informed the Minister of Medical Education to take steps to invite the Union Health Minister and the Chief Minister to inaugurate it.
