Mangaluru : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a yellow alert for coastal Karnataka from July 2 to July 8. The forecast is valid till 8.30 a.m. on July 8.
An IMD bulletin said that heavy rain with sustained wind speed of 30 to 40 kmph is likely to occur at one or two places over Uttara Kannada district, and moderate rain with sustained a wind speed of 30 to 40 kmph is likely to occur at most places over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on July 2.
