Karkala constituency, situated at the foothills of the Western Ghats, faces geographical challenges where residents often have to cross streams and rivulets manually. The new footbridges are designed to provide safe and smooth transit for farmers, school children, and the general public. Specifically, these structures will assist farmers in transporting agricultural machinery and produce more efficiently. MLA Sunil Kumar noted that he had made several written and verbal requests to the government and the concerned ministry to secure this special grant for the region’s development.
