Mangaluru : In a move to benefit commuters, the Mangaluru Division of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced a significant reduction in passenger fares for various premium bus services. The ticket prices for buses operating between Kundapura/Udupi/Mangaluru and Bengaluru have been slashed by 10% to 15%. This revised fare structure is set to be implemented starting from January 5, according to an official press release.
Revised Fare Details for Premium Services (Price List)
The fare reduction applies to several high-end categories, making luxury travel more affordable. For the flagship Ambari Utsav AC Sleeper, the fare from Mangaluru to Bengaluru is now ₹1,350, while from Kundapura it is ₹1,510. The Dream Class services will cost ₹1,200 from Mangaluru, and the Multi-Axle buses have been priced at ₹1,000. For budget-conscious travelers, the Rajahamsa executive coach fare has been lowered to ₹650 for the Mangaluru-Bengaluru route and ₹750 from Kundapura.
Incentive for Public Transport (Official Statement)
The Senior Divisional Controller of KSRTC Mangaluru stated that the price cut aims to encourage more people to use public transport and provide relief to regular commuters on this busy route. The reduction also applies to the newly introduced Pallakki Non-AC Sleeper and standard Non-AC Sleeper buses. Passengers are encouraged to make use of these discounted fares and book their tickets through the official KSRTC website or counters.
