Mangaluru : The New Mangala College of Nursing and Mangala School of Nursing conducted a combined Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking ceremony for the 13th batch of B.Sc Nursing and the 20th batch of General Nursing and Midwifery students. The event took place on March 1, 2026, at the Ishavasyam college auditorium, marking a significant milestone in the professional journey of the nursing students.
The formal inauguration was performed by the Chief Guest, Dr. K. Mallu, Registrar of the Karnataka State Nursing Council. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Ganapati P., Chairman of the Mangala Group of Educational Institutions and Senior Consultant Anaesthesiologist, and Prof. Subrahmanya Nayak, Principal of the New Mangala College of Nursing and Mangala School of Nursing. Dr. Ganapati P. presided over the entire proceedings of the program.
A core highlight of the event was the recitation of the nursing oath, which was led by the Principal, Prof. Subrahmanya Nayak, for the assembled students. Earlier in the program, Associate Professor Mrs. Kavyashree K. welcomed the guests, and Lecturer Mrs. Veena Shalet Dsouza spoke on the significance of the day. The event was hosted by Assistant Professor Dr. Vidya Setty and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Lecturer Mr. Naveena P..
