Belthangady : The search for a missing young man ended in tragedy as the body of Rajesh P. (30), a resident of Purusharabettu in Belalu, was recovered from the Netravati River on Tuesday morning. The body was spotted at Balipe within the limits of Belalu village, causing deep grief in the local community.
Background of the Incident: Rajesh had reportedly left his home on the morning of December 27 but failed to return. When initial efforts by family members and locals to locate him were unsuccessful, a missing person report was filed. Following a continued search operation, his body was found floating in the river.
Police Action: Upon receiving the information, officials from the Dharmasthala Police Station visited the spot to conduct a preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case and are looking into the circumstances surrounding his death.
