Mangaluru : Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL) announced a significant financial upturn on Thursday, reporting a robust net profit of ₹639 crore for the second quarter (Q2) of the 2025-26 fiscal year, ending in September. This result represents a substantial recovery, swinging from the net loss of ₹682 crore the company had faced in the corresponding period of the previous financial year (FY 2024-25).
The company’s positive momentum continued into the half-year performance. For the six months ending September 2025, MRPL successfully moved into profit territory, posting a net profit of ₹367 crore. This gain effectively reversed the net loss of ₹617 crore reported for the first half of the prior year.
However, the strong profit recovery occurred despite a slight decrease in operational revenue. The revenue generated from operations in Q2 stood at ₹25,953 crore, a dip from the ₹28,786 crore recorded in the same quarter last fiscal. The total half-year revenue reflected this trend, totaling ₹46,941 crore, down from ₹56,075 crore achieved in the first half of 2024-25.
The standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half-year period were officially approved by MRPL’s Board of Directors during their meeting held on Wednesday.
