Mangaluru : District In-charge Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Friday said the development of a layout by the Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) at Konaje will be completed by November.
Speaking to reporters after meeting with the MUDA officials, Mr. Rao said that booking for sites at Konaje has already started. The money generated from the sale of sites will be used for the development of layout in Kunjathbail, he said.
The Minister said that considerable investment has been made so far for the development of layout in Kunjathbail. “The MUDA will certainly not profited from the layout in Kunjathbail. A decision about the layout in Kunjathbail will have to be taken,” he said.
Mr. Rao said he would inspect the development work of the layout in Madhya-Chelyar during his next visit to the city.
The Minister said 24-metre-wide waterfront road between Someshwara and Sasihiltu has been proposed. This road would be included in the Master Plan to be announced shortly.
Mr. Rao said the new Master Plan from Mangaluru will be shortly announced and objections of people will be sought.
