Kasaragod : Manjeshwar police have successfully traced and arrested an alleged drug courier following a major seizure of approximately 116 kilograms of ganja (cannabis) in the Vorkady area.
The arrestee has been identified as Siddegowda (25), a resident of Jayapura Hobli in Mysuru.
The initial drug bust occurred on the night of October 8 when authorities discovered the massive consignment hidden inside a shed attached to a house in Sulyame. Crucial to the subsequent investigation was the seizure of a mini-tempo believed to have been used for the transportation of the illegal substance.
Police utilized the vehicle details to track down its driver, Siddegowda. The investigation was extended across state lines to Mysuru, where the accused was successfully apprehended by the police team.
