Mangaluru : The public should not have any doubts or worries that hate speech makers will get bail easily. The police have no problem dragging such people off the stage of making hate speech. The police work in favor of the truth and transparently. The public should not have any doubts about this, said Commissioner Sudhir Reddy.
Under the law, bail can be obtained from the court in relation to hate speech. However, in cases where public interest is affected, appropriate action will also be taken under the law against those who repeat such hate speeches. In a democracy, there is a right to speak. But if the speech goes astray, there is also appropriate action in the Indian Penal Code, he said.
