Udupi : A pangolin was rescued by the forest department officials after it find in a deep well of a village in Guddiyangadi of Bommarabettu in Hiriyadka on June 19.
As soon as locals realized the pangolin was struggling in the well, a local social worker Vithin alerted the Forest personnel who rushed to the spot.
The pangolin is suspected to have accidentally fallen into the well. The forest department, which rushed to the spot to rescue it with the help of local residents.
Neeraya Sunil managed to get into the well and rescue the pangolin. The animal was unharmed and was later released in the protected forest.
