Mangaluru : A six-year-old boy was severely injured after being attacked by a pack of street dogs (stray dogs) in Souharda Nagar, which falls under the limits of the Kandavara Gram Panchayat in Bajpe, on Thursday morning. The injured child has been identified as Ahil, son of Muhammad Azhar, a resident of Souharda Nagar.
The incident occurred when Ahil was returning home from a nearby Madrasa. The street dogs reportedly encircled the child abruptly and bit him on the cheek and hands, causing serious injuries.
The boy’s cries alerted his mother, who rushed out to the road in front of their house and rescued her son from the attacking dogs.
He was immediately admitted to the Bajpe Government Hospital. For further and specialized treatment, the boy has been transferred to Durga Sanjeevini Manipal Hospital in Kateel.
