Mangaluru : A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus traveling from Kasargod to Mangaluru reportedly suffered brake failure and crashed into a auto-rickshaw at Talapady on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 1:30 pm. Four people waiting at the shelter, including three women and one man from the same family, died on the spot. A child also lost its life in the accident. Some of the victims were seated in an auto-rickshaw parked near the shelter at the time.
Seven others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
