Theft at Karkala Parashurama Theme Park: MLA V. Sunil Kumar Slams Congress Government

Karkala : MLA V. Sunil Kumar has alleged that miscreants broke into the Parashurama Theme Park by damaging the doors and stealing the copper sheets installed on the roof. Expressing deep concern, he described this incident as a “dark day” in the history of Karkala, stating that a project intended to be a premier tourist destination has been ruined by political sabotage.

The MLA directly accused local Congress leader Uday Kumar Shetty and DCM D.K. Shivakumar of stalling the project’s progress. He claimed that for the past two years, not a single penny was released for the park’s development, causing it to fall into a state of neglect. He compared the current destruction to historical invasions, suggesting that the “Congress brigade” allowed the park to be vandalized to keep the political controversy alive until the next elections.

Sunil Kumar highlighted a major security lapse by the district administration. Despite a ban on public entry since September 2023, he noted that some individuals had illegally entered the premises to record videos. He urged the police to investigate these individuals and immediately arrest the culprits behind the theft. He concluded by stating that history will not forgive those who have jeopardized Karkala’s tourism potential.
