Vittal : A horrific road accident between an Alto car and a mini tipper has resulted the car driver died on the spot and the driver’s sister and child seriously injured in Kelinja, Veerakambha village.
The deceased has been identified as Aneesh Ananthadi (34).
The accident took place when the Alto car, which was heading from Kalladka towards Vittal, was hit by a mini tipper coming from the opposite direction. Locals rushed the injured to the hospital. However, Aneesh, who had suffered severe injuries, passed away late at night while undergoing treatment at Father Muller Hospital in Mangaluru.
Aneesh hailed from Ashwathadi in Ananthadi. He had been married just two months ago and was returning after dropping off family members in Vittal when the mishap occurred.
A case has been registered at the Vittal police station, and further investigation is underway.
