Mangaluru : A fatal road accident occurred this evening in front of the Indian Oil petrol pump in Panambur, claiming the life of a two-wheeler rider. The deceased has been identified as Shivadas Ganapathi Nayak, a native of Ankola in Uttara Kannada district, who was currently residing in a rented house in Bejai, Mangaluru. According to police reports, the mishap took place when a lorry moving in the same direction rammed into his motorcycle from behind.
Shivadas was reportedly working for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Baikampady and was heading home after finishing his shift when the tragedy struck. The impact of the collision was so severe that he was dragged under the rear wheels of the lorry, resulting in his instantaneous death. Mangaluru North Traffic Police Inspector Shivakumar M. and his team visited the spot to conduct an inspection and have initiated necessary legal proceedings regarding the incident.
