Kasargod : A two-year-old girl lost her life after a car overturned near Karle in Mulleria Adur, on Thursday evening.
The deceased child has been identified as Hridyananda, daughter of M Hari Das and Sreevidya from Bellige.
The tragic accident occurred around 6 pm when the family was returning home after a visit to the local market.
The mishap took place on the road leading to their house. As the car failed to start, the family attempted to push it. During this process, the vehicle suddenly moved forward, and the toddler got trapped under the car, the mother and children — Hridyananda and her elder sister Devananda — to exit the car.
Immediately chiled taken in to the hospital in Mulleria. However, she could not be saved.
Adur police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
