Udupi : A tragic accident occurred near the Nittur KSRTC depot in Udupi on October 26, resulting in the death of Sparsha (24), the daughter of Padubidri ASI Sudesh Shetty.
The accident took place around 8:15 PM when a car, driven by an individual named Rakesh, was traveling from the coastal side towards Santakatte. The driver was reportedly driving carelessly.
The car forcefully hit from behind the scooter, which was being ridden by Sharmila (49) with her daughter Sparsha (24) as a pillion rider.
Due to the impact, both the mother and daughter were thrown onto the road. Sharmila sustained injuries to her hands and other parts of her body, but her daughter Sparsha suffered severe head injuries. They were immediately admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, Sparsha, the daughter of ASI Sudesh Shetty, succumbed to her injuries and passed away the next morning, on October 27, while undergoing treatment.
A case has been officially registered at the Udupi Traffic Police Station regarding this incident.
