Mangaluru : A tragic road accident at Nanthoor in Mangaluru on Wednesday night claimed the life of a 26-year-old woman. The deceased has been identified as Deepti, a resident of Ballalbagh. According to police reports, Deepti was traveling as a pillion rider on a scooter when the incident occurred near the Nanthoor bus stand.
Both the bus and the scooter were moving from the direction of Shivabagh towards Nanthoor. As they reached the bus stand, the bus collided with the scooter, causing the two-wheeler to fall. Deepti was tragically crushed under the wheels of the bus and died on the spot due to the severity of her injuries. The rider of the scooter sustained injuries in the accident and is receiving medical attention. The police have registered a case regarding the incident and are conducting further investigations.
