Mangaluru : The 16th edition of the grand job fair ‘Alva’s Pragati 2026’, organized by the Alva’s Education Foundation, concluded on a high note, reaffirming its position as one of the largest placement drives in the country. Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, August 19, Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee of Alva’s Education Foundation, shared key outcomes of the two-day event. A total of 15,539 candidates from diverse academic and professional backgrounds participated, while 332 leading companies joined the recruitment process. The job mega-drive generated immense employment opportunities, resulting in 2,416 spot job offers and shortlisting 6,183 candidates for further rounds.
Results for 301 participating recruiters have already been updated on the official web portal (www.alvaspragati.com), allowing candidates to check their selection or shortlist status online. The remaining outcomes will be published progressively as recruiters share their final evaluations. Meanwhile, the dedicated team at Alva’s is proactively contacting SSLC, PUC, and ITI candidates who registered on-spot via telephone calls and SMS to inform them about their hiring statuses. Participating employers commended the platform for successfully bridging the gap between varied talent pools and industry requirements under a single umbrella.
Sector-wise recruitment witnessed impressive figures, led prominently by the manufacturing domain where 75 companies shortlisted 924 job seekers and extended 523 spot offers. Tata Electronics Systems recruited 216 candidates—primarily women—while HL Mando selected 99 engineering graduates in EEE, ECE, and Mechanical streams for Chennai locations with an annual CTC of ₹3.4 lakh. Toyota Kirloskar Motor shortlisted a Chartered Accountant candidate offering a salary package of ₹11 lakh per annum, and Exicom Tele-Systems Limited hired 30 female candidates with an annual CTC of ₹3 lakh.
In the IT and ITES domain, 34 participating firms shortlisted 1,301 candidates and issued 96 immediate job offers, with Woodrock Infotech extending remote work options to 17 shortlisted individuals. ProTalk Solutions hired 39 candidates for Chennai-based roles, while Elogixa offered an international on-site placement opportunity in Congo, Africa. Within the BFSI sector, 913 candidates were shortlisted and 211 received spot offers, with multinational firm EXL Service recruiting 38 professionals across HR, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions.
The pharmaceutical sector saw active participation from major players such as Eurofins, R.L. Fine Chem, Solara Active Pharma Sciences, Medorganics India, Sami Nutraceuticals, Vasudha Life Sciences, Biocon, and Group Pharmaceuticals, collectively shortlisting 159 candidates and selecting 40 on the spot. The healthcare and hospitality sectors also posted strong recruitment, with Bethany Hospital, Mumbai, hiring 103 candidates, while Ceenik Summit Resort recruited Naturopathy graduates as wellness therapists.
Highlighting global career pathways, GBMT Structural Steel Manufacturing Industries recruited nine ITI, Diploma, and Degree candidates for UAE-based roles with an annual package of ₹6 lakh. Saudi Arabia-based Expertise Contracting shortlisted 117 candidates and offered spot letters to 13 individuals for projects in Saudi Arabia and Adani Mundra in Gujarat. Demonstrating commitment to inclusive hiring, DHO PWD recruited two candidates with disabilities. Additionally, Code Young offered impressive packages reaching up to ₹8.36 lakh per annum to six candidates, and LuLu International Shopping Malls Pvt Ltd shortlisted 45 candidates, extending four final offers for Bengaluru.
To maximize outcome efficiency, sector-wise coordinators are maintaining steady touch with recruiters to track post-event hiring stages. Furthermore, Alva’s Education Foundation plans to set up district and taluk-level coordination units to stay connected with job seekers and continuously identify suitable employment avenues. The comprehensive database created during Alva’s Pragati 2026 will be utilized throughout the year to connect candidate skill sets with specialized, large-scale recruitment drives conducted by industry partners.
