Belthangady : An autorickshaw driver lost his life after he lost control over his vehicle which overturned near Badyaru on Sunday.
The driver, who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru with the help of locals but was declared dead on arrival.
The deceased is Shivananda P Malava (33) from Malady. He was on way to Aladangady from Guruvayanakere when the mishap took place. A passenger in the autorickshaw was also injured and has been admitted to a private hospital in Ujire.
Beltangady traffic police visited the spot, conducted an inspection, and have registered a case.
