Mangaluru : A 14-year-old boy went missing after drowning in the sea while playing with his friends at Panambur Beach on Sunday evening.
The missing teenager has been identified as Shreyas (14), son of Sesappa, a resident of Renkeda Guttu in Kasaba village, Belthangady taluk.
According to reports, Shreyas had visited the Panambur seaside along with five of his friends. While all of them were playing in the water, a massive sea wave suddenly swept Shreyas away into the deep waters.
Upon learning about the tragic incident through his son’s friends, Shreyas’ father lodged a complaint at the Panambur Police Station. The police have registered a case and launched an extensive search operation to trace the missing boy.
