Mangaluru: The inauguration of the new Sindhur Vijaya Park, built by the Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) in the 16th Bangrakulur ward of the Mangalore City Corporation near Kottar Chowki Highway 66, on Saturday.
Chairman of Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Sadashiva Ullal inaugurated ‘Sindoor Vijay’ park.
The park was built in memory of Indian defence personnel, at a cost of Rs 42.35 lakh.
Y. Bharat Shetty, Mangaluru City North MLA, said that the park was named as ‘Sindoor Vijay’ as a tribute to the recent Operation Sindoor in which India destroyed nine terrorist camps in Pakistan. The park, located at the junction where the main road from the National Highway 66 leads to the city, was also dedicated to the family of Indian defence personnel, he said.
