Mangaluru Tahsildar declared holiday in several taluks of Dakshina Kannada district

Mangaluru : Due to heavy and continuous rainfall, a holiday has been declared for schools and anganwadi centres in several taluks of Dakshina Kannada district for Thursday, July 17.

According to official communication from the respective taluk administrations, all government, aided and unaided primary and high schools, PU colleges along with anganwadi centres in Bantwal, Mangaluru, Moodbidri, Mulki, and Ullal taluks will remain closed on July 17.

Mangaluru Tahsildar, in an official statement, confirmed that due to persistent rainfall across the taluk, all educational institutions including anganwadis, government, aided and private primary and high schools, will remain shut as a precautionary measure.

Authorities have urged the public to remain alert and avoid unnecessary travel in rain-affected areas. District administration is closely monitoring the situation
