Ullal: Krishnappa Salyan, Director of Kotekar Agricultural Services Cooperative Association, opined that such training workshops will help the people of rural areas, especially women, to live a self-reliant life through the Village Connection Campaign.
He was speaking after inaugurating the jackfruit value addition information and training program held on Sunday at the K. Subbannaiah Memorial Kotekar Cooperative Society in Kotekar Beeri Junction in collaboration with the Kotekar Agricultural Services Cooperative Association, the Media Center and the Ullal Taluk Working Journalists Association, the Bharatiya Vikas Trust Manipal, the Krishi Vijnana Kendra Mangalore, the Horticulture Department Mangalore, the Agriculture Department Mangalore, the Principals’ Association of D.K. District Pre-University Colleges, and the Vijaya Rural Development Foundation Mangalore.
Mangalore University Syndicate Member and VRDF Secretary Achyuta Gatti, Mangala Rural Youth Association President A.K. Rahiman Kodijal, Kotekar Agricultural Service Cooperative Society Chief Executive Harshavardhan Ullal, Directors Gangadhar Ullal, Arun Ullal, Raghav R. Uchil were present at the event.
