Mangaluru : Canara High School Association, Mangaluru, organized “Celebrating Success” on August 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM at T.V. Raman Pai Convention Centre, Kodialbail, to recognize and encourage the achievements of students and staff of Canara Educational Institutions for their outstanding performance in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities during the academic year 2024–25.
Chief Guest Dr. Raghavendra Holla, Chairman, Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, in his address, emphasized that success in career and life comes through dedication, innovation, and a spirit of research. “Any profession without growth in knowledge, opportunities, and recognition holds no value. True achievers should not only look at salaries but also focus on professional growth and public good. Failures must not discourage us. With clear goals, proper planning, and consistent effort, one can attain success. Hard work is the true formula for victory,” he said.
Dr. Holla also expressed pride in Canara Educational Institutions for nurturing achievers for over a century and creating facilities for growth. He stressed that students should always associate with institutions that allow them to evolve and added that Canara University must soon become a reality. He highlighted the crucial role of parents and teachers in instilling discipline, values, resilience, and logical thinking in children.
The event felicitated students who secured top ranks in academics and those who excelled in music, art, literature, painting, sports, research, and innovation, along with staff members who made significant contributions.
Presiding over the event, Mr. Ranganath Bhat, Secretary of Canara High School Association, recalled the rich history and legacy of Canara Educational Institutions, which has produced countless achievers for society. He noted that recognition of achievement provides great motivation, adding, “Success is not about expectations of reward but about relentless effort, and recognition is the natural outcome of such dedication.” He further said that every year, achievements are surpassing previous standards and urged students to become all-rounders rather than limiting themselves to a single pursuit.
The event was graced by Vice President Mr. K. Suresh Kamath, Joint Secretary Mr. Gopalakrishna Shenoy, Co-Treasurer CA M. Jagannath Kamath, Governing Body Members Mr. Basti Purushottam Shenoy, Mr. Naresh Shenoy, Ms. Ashwini Kamath, Mr. Shivananda Shenoy, Mr. Vikram Pai, and CA Giridhar Kamath, and PRO Ms. Ujwal Mallya, along with principals, heads of institutions, faculty, staff, parents, and students.
Mrs. Surekha Bhat, Principal of Canara CBSE School, welcomed and introduced the dignitaries. Mrs. Smitha Bhat compered the program, and Mrs. Mamatha Bhandary, Counsellor, Canara Educational Institutions, proposed the vote of thanks.
