Eminent Orthodontist Prof. Dr. Akhter Husain to Showcase "Vedic Inspirations" in Mangalore

Mangaluru : The city of Mangalore is set to host a unique blend of science, spirituality, and art with the two-day exhibition, “Vedic Inspirations,” by the distinguished artist and academic, Prof. Dr. Akhter Husain. The exhibition, which features twenty contemporary artworks reinterpreting India’s ancient Vedic heritage, will be held at Hotel Ocean Pearl on October 25 and 26, 2025, and will be open to the public from 10 AM to 8 PM.

Inauguration and Distinguished Guests
The exhibition is scheduled for a formal inauguration on October 25th. Shri Veda Vyas, Hon’ble MLA, will preside over the ceremony, inaugurating the display in the presence of several prominent guests. These include Mr. Ivan D’souza, Hon’ble MLC, Mr. Mithun Rai, Hon’ble KPCC Gen. Secretary, and esteemed academics Dr. Mohan Alva, Dr. Habib Rehman, and Dr. UT. Ifthikhar. The gathering underscores the event’s significance in bridging cultural and professional communities.

Trinergic Art: Bridging Science and Aesthetics
Prof. Dr. Akhter Husain, a highly accomplished professional in both medicine and academia, brings a rare perspective to his artwork. Beyond his roles as the Administrative Director for the Centre for Craniofacial Anomalies and former Dean of Yenepoya Dental College, he is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (U.K.) and a recipient of numerous international awards for his creative work. His artistic journey, which spans photography, digital design, and painting, is driven by a lifelong pursuit of beauty, proportion, and harmony.

The exhibition will feature his signature Trinergic art style, a unique methodology that unites pixels (digital design), pigments (traditional painting), and 3D elements to create visual meditations. Through this fusion, Dr. Akhter translates complex metaphysical concepts—such as form, feeling, and meaning—into deeply analytical yet spiritually explorative visuals. The “Vedic Inspirations” collection specifically aims to celebrate the shared spirit that unites humanity beyond boundaries and faiths, offering a modern perspective on timeless wisdom.
