Bantwal : MLA Rajesh Naik expressed deep dissatisfaction and anger over the extremely poor upkeep and unhygienic conditions at the Bantwal Municipality’s drinking water purification unit. During his inspection of the facility, he noticed accumulated waste, sand, and algae within the plant premises, raising serious concerns about the safety and health of the public who consume this water.
Highlighting that access to clean drinking water is a fundamental right of every citizen, the MLA pulled up officials for their negligence regarding public health. He warned authorities to thoroughly clean and restore the purification plant within two days, stating that this is an issue of public welfare rather than politics, and asserted that he would personally step in to clean the facility if officials fail to take prompt action.
