Haleyangady: Several JDS leaders from the Kinnigoli-Kateel region have joined the Congress Party.
The induction ceremony took place at a meeting held at the Mulki Block Congress Office in Haleyangadi.
The prominent leaders who joined the Congress include Sanjeeva Madiwala from Kateel, who was the State Vice-President of the JDS Backward Classes Division, and Sushith Salyan from Kateel, who served as the State Director of the Karnataka State Madivalara Organizations’ Federation. Local JDS Leader K.B. Suresh Moorukaveri and several others also made the switch.
This joining was reportedly facilitated on the recommendation of Kateel sector Congress leader Naveen Kumar Malligeyangadi.
Mithun Rai, a State Youth Leader, formally welcomed the former JDS leaders into the party by presenting them with the Congress flag.
The meeting and induction ceremony were attended by several key Congress functionaries, including KPCC Co-ordinator Vasantha Bernard, Mulki Block Congress Committee President Mohan Kotian, and Block Secretary Manjunath Kambar.
