Alappuzha : “Karnataka and Kerala share brotherly bond. Both states will progress on the path of development with mutual cooperation,” stated Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar.
Shivakumar was speaking at the 72nd edition of the Nehru Trophy Boat Race event held in Alappuzha, Kerala, on Saturday.
“It gives me immense joy to participate in this historic event. Our great leader, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, gave priority to this sport and sent a great message. The strength of Congress is the strength of the nation; whenever Congress is in power, it feels as though all sections of society are in power. Today, all the youth of this state are enjoying this sports festival. Just as Mysuru Dasara is celebrated grandly in Karnataka, this event is celebrated here in Kerala,” he said.
“During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi also participated in this race alongside you. We share everything, including water, climate, and culture.
Karnataka served as the platform for Smt. Indira Gandhi and Smt. Sonia Gandhi to enter Parliament. Similarly, Kerala served as the platform for Rahul Gandhi and Smt. Priyanka Gandhi to enter Parliament,” he added.
Congress Keeps Its Promises
“The government led by Satheesan will work for the welfare of the state and keep its promises. The UDF alliance will work together, sending a strong message that we are all fighting at the national level under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi,” he said.
“I wish all the competitors and the organizing committee the very best. Karnataka will stand with you, and you must stand with Karnataka. People of both states should move forward like brothers,” he called upon the gathering.
