Mangaluru: MLA Vedavyas Kamath expressed severe outrage, condemning the alleged irresponsibility of the State Congress government for failing to resolve the prolonged E-Khata server issues, which continue to cause immense hardship to the common public within the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) limits.
The MLA pointed out that previously, all necessary officials were diverted to an “unscientific survey,” preventing the public from obtaining E-Khatas even in urgent situations. He stated that although the survey is now complete and the officials have returned, they are now citing “server unavailability,” which is testing the patience of the citizens. Kamath highlighted that this problem has persisted for two years, despite his efforts to raise the issue in the Assembly and make appeals to the concerned ministers.
He mentioned that vendors, buyers, and those with urgent needs are unable to register their properties and are forced to constantly queue and repeatedly visit the MCC offices. Kamath warned that if this “thick-skinned Congress government” does not address the public’s concerns and continues to act irresponsibly, the people themselves might take to the streets to protest, and that day is not far off.
