Security Beefed Up in Dakshina Kannada Following Delhi Blast

Mangaluru: Dr. Arun K., Superintendent of Police (SP) for Dakshina Kannada (D.K.) district, has announced that precautionary security measures have been intensified across the district following the recent blast incident reported in New Delhi.

Intensified Patrolling and Surveillance

The SP stated that police officials have been instructed to conduct strict patrolling across the district during the night. Personnel and officers have been deployed at designated picketing points in sensitive areas to maintain constant surveillance. Nakabandis (checkpoints) have been set up in key locations throughout the district, where stringent checking is being carried out.

Increased Security at Crowded Places

Security has been significantly enhanced at all crowded places and important spots, including tourist destinations, religious sites, and major government buildings. The police are maintaining strict vigilance across these locations to ensure public safety and prevent any untoward incidents.

Appeal to the Public

The SP has appealed to the public to immediately inform the District Control Room if they notice any suspicious individuals or observe any suspicious activities in their vicinity, emphasizing the importance of public cooperation in maintaining security.
