Mangaluru: A special Literary Interaction with renowned Konkani writer Shri Vally Vagga (Valerian Dsouza) was organized under the auspices of the Konkani Lekhak Sangh – Karnataka on Sunday, November 30, at the Sandesha Hall in Mangaluru.
The programme began with Dr. Edward Nazareth welcoming Shri Vagga with a bouquet. In his address, Shri Vagga spoke in detail about his childhood, education, professional life, his early interest in writing in Konkani, the publication of his stories, the encouragement he received from readers, and his experiences in the field of translation.
The interactive session that followed was conducted by Core Committee member Henry Mascarenhas. Writers H.R. Alva, Concept Alva, Richard Pereira, Jemma Padil, Dolphy Cascia, and Dirvem Editor John Monis, along with several others, actively participated in the discussion.
Richard Moras, Convenor of the Association, and Committee Members Dolphy Cascia, Dr. Edward Nazareth, and Henry Mascarenhas were present on the dais. The programme was efficiently compered by writer Lavi Ganjimat.
The event also received valuable support from Stanly Bikarnakatta.
Around 55 writers and Konkani language enthusiasts attended the event, adding vibrancy and significance to the literary gathering.
