Mangaluru : The Mangaluru CID Forest Mobile Squad arrested three individuals on Tuesday for attempting to sell pangolin scales near Kadri Park in the city. The arrested persons have been identified as H.R. Jagadish (50) from Bengaluru, Siddu Naik (38) from Kanakapura, and Babu (48) from Banashankari. Following their apprehension, a case was registered, and the suspects were remanded to judicial custody.
During the operation, officials seized 5.200 kg of pangolin scales and a white Maruti Swift car (KA 05 MS 1049) valued at approximately ₹3 lakh. The raid was conducted under the guidance of Pavan Nejjur, IPS, Superintendent of Police for the CID Forest Unit in Bengaluru and Madikeri, and led by Police Sub-Inspector Dileep G.R. along with staff members Taranath S. and Abdul Rauf.
