Bantwal: In a successful operation, the Bantwal town police have traced and apprehended a long-absconding accused involved in a theft case who had continually evaded court hearings. The arrested individual has been identified as 48-year-old Sanjay Sahani, a native of Vaishali district in Bihar. Sahani was wanted as a warrant accused in connection with Crime No. 76/2016, which was registered under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Bantwal town police station.
Following a targeted search, police personnel successfully tracked down Sahani and produced him before the honorable court on Friday, July 24. Upon his appearance, the court penalised the accused by imposing a fine and officially disposed of the longstanding case.
