Bank of Baroda celebrated its 119th Foundation Day under the theme ‘Leading with Trust’, underscoring its long-standing commitment to integrity, sustainable growth, and customer-centric innovation. Marking the milestone, the public sector lender unveiled an expansive suite of digital and financial offerings spanning technology, retail lending, green financing, MSME support, and financial inclusion. Global Brand Ambassador Sachin Tendulkar and Managing Director & CEO Dr. Debadatta Chand graced the celebrations, highlighting the bank’s vision to shape the future of modern financial services while preserving foundational trust.
A major highlight of the occasion was the unveiling of the reimagined ‘bob World’ mobile banking application, featuring an AI-powered, hyper-personalized, and secure platform with integrated personal finance management capabilities. Additionally, the bank inaugurated AAROHAN GCIC, a strategic hub dedicated to driving technology, research, and digital transformation, along with ADITI 2.0, an intelligent, voice-enabled conversational virtual front office. Innovating payment solutions, the bank introduced UPI Global Reverse Acceptance for international visitors and became the industry pioneer in implementing NFC-based tap-and-transact capabilities on ATMs.
In retail lending and green finance, Bank of Baroda introduced targeted schemes including the bob Elev8 Home Loan for young salaried professionals with structured step-up EMIs, bob Swabhoomi for RERA-approved plot purchases, and bob PAL, offering digitally enabled overdrafts against securities. Supporting sustainable infrastructure, the bank launched bob Green PLUG to finance EV charging stations and battery-swapping networks. Furthermore, the bank introduced the bob Agniveer MSME scheme providing credit up to ₹5 crore for ex-Agniveers, Corporate Invoice Financing for suppliers, and the Masterstroke Current Account tailored for growing businesses.
Strengthening its footprint in financial inclusion, the bank launched 119 new Business Correspondent (BC) outlets across unbanked and rural regions nationwide. To empower Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) account holders, it launched Multilingual WhatsApp Banking in regional languages. Reaffirming its corporate social responsibility and environmental commitments, Bank of Baroda also conducted a nationwide tree plantation drive across its regional and zonal offices.
