Cabinet Decisions: Nodal Officers Appointed for Speedy Implementation, Directs Minister UT Khader

Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada District In-charge Minister U.T. Khader has directed the concerned government departments to immediately appoint nodal officers to ensure the swift implementation of decisions taken during the state cabinet meeting held in Mangaluru on September 18.

Presiding over an official review meeting with district officials at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Monday, the Minister emphasized that department heads must maintain continuous coordination with the state secretariat so that cabinet decisions are promptly converted into official government orders. He instructed officials to provide all necessary details and information to the secretariat without delay.

Minister Khader further stated that action plans and tender processes must be initiated immediately upon the issuance of formal government orders. He urged officials to possess absolute clarity regarding each project, adding that the Chief Minister is expected to visit Mangaluru shortly to personally review the progress of these cabinet decisions.

Highlighting specific developmental projects, the Minister directed officials to fast-track the tender process for developing Kudru islands under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model while securing required Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearances. He instructed the Public Works Department (PWD) to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for major infrastructure works, including the new bridge on the Airport Road near Maravoor and a state-of-the-art fish market at Yekkur.

In addition, Minister Khader called for the expedited construction of the boundary wall for the upcoming jail at Balepuni and directed officials to consult experienced stadium construction experts to comprehensively modernize Mangala Stadium. He also stressed the need for seamless coordination between agencies for constructing the new bridge and jetty at Kotepura in Ullal. The high-level meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Darshan H.V., Zilla Panchayat CEO Narwade Vinayak Karbhari, Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy, City Corporation Commissioner Rahul Ratnam Pandey, and other senior officials.
