Mangaluru : A comprehensive career guidance programme was recently organized at St. Teresa of Kolkata Church, Paldane, specifically designed for students of Classes 8, 9, 10, and higher grades. Initiated by the Church’s Education Commission, the event aimed to empower young minds with the necessary knowledge to make well-informed decisions regarding their future academic pursuits and professional career paths.
The session featured expert resource persons from St. Joseph’s Engineering College, Vamanjoor, including Smita Maria D’Souza, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, and Franco J. Menezes, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. They provided the students with detailed insights into a wide array of available courses and offered practical guidance on how to identify and select career options that align with their interests and strengths.
The programme commenced with a welcome address and introduction by Joel D’Mello, the Convener of the Church Education Commission. Prayer services were led by commission members Marceline Fernandes (Leena) and Pramitha Monteiro. The event was graced by the presence of Church Vice President Elias Fernandes, Secretary Roshan Monteiro, All Commissions Coordinator William Lobo, and former Secretary Austin Monteiro, all of whom shared their best wishes for the students’ future success.
