Mangaluru : Senior officials from the Dakshina Kannada district administration held a meeting with the Kasargod police of Kerala to discuss measures to contain inter-state criminal activities in Mangaluru on Monday.
City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy said, that the meeting discussed measures to trace suspects and absconding wanted persons in communal cases, and measures to de-escalate communal tension.
Controlling inter-State criminal activities, joint monitoring and raids on illegal cattle and sand transportation, and information sharing on communal troublemakers and issues affecting Kerala students studying here and in the district, were also discussed.
In-charge Deputy Commissioner K. Anand, Dakshina Kannada SP K. Arun, Kasargod SP Vijay Bharath Reddy and Mangaluru Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Siddarth Goyal attended the meeting.
