DCM’s Yezdi roars to declare open the new loop of Hebbal flyover

Bengaluru : It was a trip down the memory lane for Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar as he inaugurated the new loop of Hebbal flyover today.

As Chief Minister Siddaramaiah waved the green flag to declare the flyover open, the thump of the decades-old Yezdi bike reverberated. The thump was from the refurbished Yezdi bike on which the DCM took the inaugural ride to declare the new loop open. It is the same Yezdi that the DCM used to ride in his college days.

The DCM was an avid biker in his college days. He had purchased the Yezdi bike bearing registration number CEA 7684 for a godly sum of Rs 10,400. The bike was lying idle for decades before bike refurbisher Supreeth brought it back to life. The DCM rode the legendary Yezdi bike to thunderous claps from his fans witnessing the inauguration.
