Putturu : A horrifying incident occurred on the morning of March 20 at Golthila near Kattattaru in Ariyadka village of Puttur taluk, where a domestic dispute took a fatal turn. According to preliminary reports, a heated argument between a husband and wife escalated into violence, resulting in the husband allegedly murdering his wife. The sudden and tragic event has sent shockwaves throughout the local community.

Following the murder, the husband reportedly attempted to end his own life. He was found in a critical condition and was immediately rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru for emergency medical treatment. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Puttur Rural Police arrived at the scene to conduct an inspection. They have taken custody of the deceased woman’s body and shifted it to the hospital for a post-mortem examination as part of the legal proceedings.

The police have intensified their investigation to determine the exact motive behind this gruesome act. Authorities are looking into whether the crime was fueled by long-standing marital discord or a sudden outburst of rage.
