Mangaluru : The upcoming Kannada comedy film “Vadiraja Valaga Mandali,” produced under the MNR Production banner, has successfully completed its filming and is currently in the post-production phase. Producer Dr. M.N. Rajendra Kumar shared during a press conference in Mangaluru that the movie is slated for a grand release in August. The film is generating significant buzz for its unique title, refreshing storyline, and the distinct makeovers of its cast members, promising a novel experience for Kannada cinema enthusiasts.
The film marks the directorial debut of Shashiraj Kavoor, widely recognized for his work on the famous song “Varaha Roopam.” Kavoor has taken on the multiple responsibilities of writing the story, screenplay, and dialogues in addition to directing. Filmed over 50 days across two extensive schedules, the movie is currently undergoing editing, background scoring, and dubbing. While the film retains the authentic charm of coastal Karnataka, the makers are confident that its blend of humor, emotional depth, and social themes will resonate with audiences across the state. Plans are also underway to dub and release the film in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam to reach a wider audience.
The movie boasts a stellar ensemble cast featuring prominent talents from the coastal region. Popular actor Naveen D. Padil, famously known as “Gundumama,” plays a lead role alongside sought-after comedians Prakash Tuminadu, Mime Ramdas, Deepak Rai Panaje, and Pushparaj Bollar. Arjun Vedant and Atharva Prakash feature as the male leads, while Tanni Rao and Venya Rai bring both glamour and emotional nuance to the screen. To ensure high production values, the cinematography was handled by experienced Tamil cinematographer S. Chandrashekharan using the sophisticated “Arri LF” camera—the same technology utilized in blockbusters like “Kantara.”
Music for the film has been composed by Manikant Kadri of “Savari” fame, with tracks featuring vocals from prominent singers including Sai Vignesh and Mime Ramdas. Stunt master Tiger Shivu has directed the action sequences. The press conference saw the presence of the core team, including director Shashiraj Kavoor, Manikant Kadri, and various lead actors. Dr. Rajendra Kumar concluded by stating that the film is a complete family entertainer that preserves the local essence while being accessible to all classes of viewers.
